Diseases are diagnosed through a series of procedures where the results either lead to a diagnosis, or to recommendations for additional more specific testing. There are a variety of procedures that we perform on a daily basis in the pursuit of a diagnosis in our patients.
Although many of the procedures we perform are only for their diagnostic value, some of the procedures have a dual purpose, providing both diagnostic information and therapeutic benefits.
A few of the procedures have primarily a therapeutic benefit and are performed once a diagnosis has been made, or during the course of evaluating a patient.
When your pet is being evaluated at our practice, it is very likely that we will recommend one or more of these procedures based on the specific problems that your pet is experiencing.
